Embark on an unforgettable 10-day journey through Western Australia's wildflower country, where you'll have the opportunity to photograph vibrant landscapes, unique wildlife, and stunning natural wonders.

Here’s an outline of the itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Perth

  • Begin your adventure in the lively city of Perth. After a brief introduction, we walk down to the Swan River, a central feature of Perth’s picturesque landscape. Here, you'll have the opportunity to capture stunning reflection shots of the city skyline as the lights begin to twinkle in the evening dusk. The calm waters of the Swan River offer a perfect mirror for the city’s glowing lights, providing a beautiful backdrop for your first evening photographs.

Day 2: Natures Reserves and Pinnacles.

  • Start your day with a wildflower photography session right in the suburbs of Perth! We visit a couple of nearby nature reserves, where you'll have the opportunity to photograph a stunning variety of orchids and wildflowers in their natural habitat. These areas are often brimming with seasonal blooms, so there will be plenty of opportunities to capture vibrant colors and intricate details of the flowers.
  •
  • After a fruitful morning, we begin our journey north, heading toward Nambung National Park. Along the way, you’ll enjoy scenic views of Western Australia’s unique landscape.
  • Arrive at Nambung National Park, home to the famous Pinnacles Desert. The Pinnacles, with their towering limestone formations, create a surreal and dramatic landscape that is perfect for photography. The warm tones of the setting sun cast beautiful shadows and light across the landscape, adding depth and dimension to your photos. This is a fantastic opportunity to capture the golden hour and the amazing pinnacle formations.

  • After the sunset shoot, we head to the nearby coastal town of Cervantes for an overnight stay. Enjoy a relaxing dinner, reflecting on the day’s photography and preparing for the adventures that await tomorrow.
  •

Day 3-5:  Exploring the Wildflower Way and Coalseam National Park

  • Traveling along the Wildflower Way, a scenic route that takes you through the wheat belt towns of MorrawaMingenew, and Mullewa. These regions are known for their vibrant and diverse wildflower displays, including fields of everlastings in white, pink, and yellow hues, as well as beautiful orchids. As you explore these charming towns, you'll have countless opportunities to photograph the stunning floral displays that blanket the landscape in vibrant color.

  • We venture to Coalseam National Park, one of the best locations in Western Australia to photograph expansive fields of Everlastings. We wander through the park’s different zones, capturing close-ups of the flowers as well as sweeping views of the fields.  The park’s varied terrain also provides unique perspectives, with rugged cliffs and plains adding drama to your compositions.

  • While exploring the wildflower locations, you’ll also encounter the diverse birdlife that calls this region home, with the chance to capture images of the Rufus WhistlerStriated PardaloteMulga ParrotAustralian Ringneck ParrotRed-tailed Black CockatooSplendid Fairy-wrenRed-capped Robin and Galahs

  • During the three days we drive to the small town of Pindar, which is famous for the Wreath Flower (Leschenaultia macrantha). This rare and striking flower, found only in the sandy and gravelly soils of the region.  Its vibrant color and unique shape make it a standout subject.

  • Day 6-7: Kalbarri and Murchison River

  • Today we travel to the coastal town of Kalbarri, renowned for its breathtaking land and seascapes.
  •
  • Each day we explore Kalbarri National Park, known for its diverse wildflower species and interesting birdlife, such as Carnaby's Black-CockatooWhite-winged Fairy-wren, and a multitude of Honeyeaters adding an exciting element to your photography.
  •
  • One of the highlights of your stay in Kalbarri is the chance to capture the sunrise over the Murchison River in the National Park.  And in the afternoon we visit Nature’s Window, a natural rock formation, that frames the stunning view of the river and the surrounding landscape. This spot provides a unique perspective for both wide-angle landscape shots and detailed close-ups of the rock formations. The changing light of sunrise and sunset will offer beautiful lighting conditions to enhance your compositions.
  •
  • Optional Aerial Flight (Weather Permitting): If the weather is clear, we offer an optional aerial flight over the Pink Lake. From above, you’ll be able to take in the full majesty of this striking lake, known for its unique pink hue caused by a special algae.

Day 8-9:  Pink Lake and Kings Park

  • Today we start to make our way back towards Perth.  On the way south, we make a special stop at Hutt Lagoon, also known as the Pink Lake. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to capture the lake’s striking pink color—a result of its high salinity and algae. The dramatic color of the lake, combined with the long exposure will create visually stunning images.
  •
  • Continue the drive south, reaching Cervantes by late afternoon. This coastal town offers a stunning view of the Indian Ocean, and you’ll have enough time to set up for a sunset shoot. Capture the sun as it dips below the horizon, casting golden hues across the sky and reflecting off the ocean’s surface.
  •
  • Continuing our journey towards Perth on day 9, we stop at some incredible sand dune formations along the way. These vast dunes offer dramatic landscapes. The light is just right for capturing the textures and shapes of the shifting sand, with shadows adding depth and dimension to your images.
  •
  • Before our farewell dinner, we make our final stop at Kings Park, right in the heart of Perth. Known for its stunning collection of wildflowers from all over Western Australia, Kings Park offers a perfect opportunity to explore and photograph a rich diversity of native flora. With its expansive landscapes and beautifully designed gardens, the park provides a backdrop of vibrant wildflowers, including unique species that may not have been encountered elsewhere during the tour.
