11 Day West Australian

Wildflower, Landscapes & Birds

6th Sept 2020

Where : Perth, the Pinnacles, Kalbarri National Park, Hutt Lagoon (Pink Lake), Coalseam National Park, Sand Dunes - West Australia

Join me on my 11 Day Wildflower Photography Tour into the heart of  Western Australia’s Wildflower Country.

Dotted with small country towns we travel to wildflower destinations like Moora, Mullewa and Kalbarri.  Be prepared to photograph landscapes of everlastings in Coalseam National Park and clumps of delicate Spider Orchids.  No trip into wildflower country would be complete without photographing the unique Wreath Flower (Leschenaultia macrantha) only found in sandy and gravely soils inland around Mullewa east of Geraldton.  During our tour there will be hundreds of different species of wildflowers to photograph and sometimes getting to our nightly destination can be a challenge as we stop for "every" wildflower along the way.

It’s not all wildflowers though, we have opportunities for great bird photography.  Including the Splendid Fairy-wren, Red-tailed Black-Cockatoo, Carnaby's Black-Cockatoo, Rufus Whistlers and Pardalotes, Wattle Birds, Bustards, Honeyeaters and lots more.

For landscape enthusiasts we include the coastal cliffs and gorges of Kalbarri National Park, the amazing Pink Lake, sunset at the Pinnacles at Nambung National Park  and there is nothing quite like shooting the Milkyway on our Astro shoot.  Another must is natures sculptures in the coastal sand dunes near Jurien Bay.

So join me for 11 days of photography fun with a small group of like-minded photographers.
