On this 7 day photography tour departing from Kununurra in north Western Australia and you will be able to explore a region ripe with photographic opportunities — rugged outback landscapes, national parks and nature reserves, cattle stations, tropical rivers, Boab trees, wetlands and the domes of the Bungles.

You travel in 4WD comfort to various locations including the Lower Ord River, a region rich in wildlife: birds, crocodiles and more! Here our adventure includes a photo cruise in purpose built dinghies.  

Travel along the Gibb River Road to explore El Questro Wilderness Park; soak in thermal pools surrounded by palm trees and walk into beautiful gorges. You have free time at El Questro to choose any of their optional tours including gorge walks, helicopter tours, fishing tours or boat rides.

At the amazing Purnululu National Park (the bungles) you will photograph the rich red sunset on the domes and a walk into Cathedral Gorge, a great place for dramatic panorama photographs. There will be options for sunrise, sunset and blue hours shots. 

On the tour you will enjoy a wide range of photographic topics and locations with our small group of like-minded photographers, while we have the time of our lives in the Kimberley. You will also be supported in your photography with tips, guidance and instructions from award-winning professional photographer Pamela Jennings.

I joined Pamela's Landscape & Astro tour in September 2022. Pamela is a professional photographer, tour leader & tutor. Our 6 day tour covered Broome, Derby, Arrows Pearl Farm. Great spots for sunsets, sunrise, helicopter early light tour, midday high tides, birds, and of course, astro shoots. Pamela was available for each of us catering for our level of skill, and showed us different techniques, ensured we were clear on 'how to' every step of the way. Highly recommended.
